A major European actor and one of the most acclaimed actors, Carice van Houten is perhaps best known as "Melisandre" in the famous TV series Game of Thrones, a performance for which she has been recognized with the Emmy Award nomination in 2019. Carice van Houten's other projects include Paul Verhoeven's Valkyrie which starred Tom Cruise, and Bryan Singer's Black Book. She also starred as Melisandre in Game of Thrones.
